Fun Day!
Today was our Reward Day! After a long and tiring week of ministry this team got to go zip lining and then swim at the Laguna Beach Club.
Philippians 1:12-30
Theme: Living a Life Worthy of the Gospel
I shared how we are to live a life that is worthy of the Gospel, meaning that we are to believe in the Gospel, surrender to the Holy Spirit, and then live on mission. And that mission doesn’t end with our trip. The mission continues. It continues here in Nicaragua and it continues in Dayton. We challenged ourselves to live with the main purpose of our life being to make Christ known.
Zip lining was a blast. It rained as we walked to the first platform and then it rained as we were driving back down. God was kind to give us great weather while zip lining. We got to do different positions as well, such as Superman and upside down (which was kind of disorienting, but still fun!)
Waiting in line
It was pouring during this picture
On the way back down afterwards!
We then made our way to the Laguna for lunch and swimming. It is in a crater of a dead volcano, and goes down over 500 feet! It was a beautiful place.
Swimming, paddle boards, and kayaks!
We got back to the center for dinner and had our last debrief. Along the way today we said goodbye to all our translators (who spent the whole week living with us) and the ABWE intern. Tears were shed tonight. Thank you for allowing me to lead this team. It has been such an incredible experience and I pray that your teens come back changed by what God did this week.
Marlone, one of our translators. He went above and beyond for our team this week. He served us in many many ways. He protected and looked out for our team too. We will all miss him and the other 3 translators - Eli, Julia, and Alvaro.
We are leaving the camp at 2:30am to catch out flight to Houston. Once we land back in the US, I will send out a Remind message every step of the way! IF we are not delayed (praying we are not this time!) I hope to be back at WHBC by 6:30pm. Again, I will send out Remind messages to let you know.
