Day Two of Dayton Serve has come to an end! Had another great day full of teamwork, trails, and trees! Today our destination was the home of Caleb and Nicole Hornback where we helped clear their yard and trails of debris, build and organize storage boxes, and help move building scrap!
Journey through Ephesians
Once again we found ourselves in Ephesians, this time in chapter 2, verses 1-10 where we learned about the gift of grace! Yesterday's lesson was about giving thanks to God, and today's lesson was about why we do so! We heard about the Lord’s forgiveness, and the offer of salvation he makes to each and everyone of us. And a gift it is indeed, as we can do nothing to earn it through our own strength. By Grace we have been saved though Faith!
Ending the Day
Towards the end of the day we had some game time, where we played some very intense games of floor hockey! Ending off with our team debrief to prepare ourselves for Day Three, a trip to One Bistro! Please be praying for us as we seek to serve those less fortunate than us in the most basic way possible…keeping them fed!
