Another day of service and VBS! It was a great day of getting work done in the community and sharing the Gospel with close to 25 kids!
There is a neighbor of the church we are staying at that needs a lot of yard work done so today and tomorrow we are helping him. The house we painted at yesterday, we continued to paint. However, the homeowner changed her mind on the color so we had to redo the wall that we painted yesterday. It was a good lesson that we learned today. Sometimes your boss is going to want you to do something differently which causes a project to be redone.
Today was our last day at the after school problem for our VBS. We had close to 25 kids. We combined multiple days and actually had to stay inside due to rain.
Nina welcomed everyone and led us in songs, Simon and Levi led games, Levi taught us the importance of the cross and shared the Gospel message with the kids, we had the skit players (Joel, Kira, and Noah). Kira then taught us about Jesus’ return. Lastly, Lucy, Ellie, Ben helped us finish the crafts.
We sadly didn’t get great pictures with the kids and their VBS gifts because their parents would pick them up at different times and it was hard to make sure they all got their bags before they left.
Thank you to all who donated to provide gifts to the kids we interacted with the last two days.
We were able to give them bookbags, school supplies, Bibles, Gospel tracts, stuffed animals, sport balls, and a lot of snacks!
We ended the day with Team Time. We talked about what went well today and how we can improve tomorrow. This also includes worship and a Bible study where we talk over our personal devos that we do each morning.
P.S - Lee is also living his best life. Though today he was a little grumpy so the girls combed his hair.
And Kira found a frog in the showers!
