Day 5 - Thursday
Last day of work projects! Due to the holiday weekend, there was no school which caused us to not be able to do VBS today.
However, we were able to spend today completing 2 more work sites! For those counting at home, we completed 3 work sites during the week.
Today we finished the yard work we started yesterday, and completed the painting of a trailer. We split the teams and then switched them halfway through so most people got a chance to do both sites.
Game Time
Since we didn’t have VBS, we had some time to play a team game - Cat Love Dog, which has become a New Heights GO Trip tradition.
Encouragement!
Every night during our Team Time we do Encouragement Beads. We pick one person to give to give a bead to. There are different colors that mean different things. We then go around and share how we saw God at work in that person’s life today.
We also do Encouragement bags while on New Heights trips and today we had some time to write at least one note to every other person on the team.

Fun Day Tomorrow
Happy July 4th Weekend! We have our fun day tomorrow. We are headed to the beach and Georgetown for fireworks. We have a late night ahead of us so I don’t think I will be able to post an update until we get back on Saturday, but we will see.
We need to be on the road by 8am on Saturday, but we are hoping to leave earlier than that. I will keep you posted via the parent group chat.
